Legendary Canadian rocker Johnnie Dee seen here relaxing before a gig is back and bigger than ever before. Johnnie will be taking some time this winter to focus on writing some new material. After tremendous success as front man for Honeymoon Suite, Johnnnie DeGiuli has decided to step outside the 'Johnnie Dee' persona and express himself outside the Honeymoon Suite box-set. SONGS IN DEE (Kindling Music) is DeGiuli's first solo album slated for release in early 2004.
Stadium crowds, hit singles and albums have all been apart of life for John. Yet, no matter the size of the venue, for John it has always been about entertaining the fans. John's staying power has always been about perfection, always putting on the best show, writing the best song you possible can and making the sound larger than life.

For his first solo effort, he teamed with Rob Laidlaw, an accomplished writer/producer, to create the basis for the new sound John was looking for. What they created is a compelling blend of musicality and artistry. SONGS IN DEE took the duo away from keyboard based tunes to guitar rich melodic rock - which is sure to still please the Honeymoon Suite fan base as well as attract fresh new fans.

John's signature voice, undeniable vocal range and great song writing form the basis of the musical style that is John DeGiuli. The songs are more personal than anything John has ever sung before and represent a true reflection of John's ability to explore his craft. He approached topics like good relationships gone badly, with mixture of humour, sarcasm and haunting realism. Exploring several aspects of the emotional gamut, John has poured a lot of heart and soul and personal experiences into this project.
